Haridwar Sightseeing Tour Package

Haridwar means Gateway to the God and city deserves the name with lot of religious places like temples, ashrams as well as spiritual leaders, sadhus and also holy river Ganga. It is believed that the city is approx 3000 years old. It is famous all over India as place for taking bath in holy river Ganga and remove sins. During Hindu festivals and full moon days hunderds of pilgrims come here to take holy bath in Ganga. Haridwar also host for the special Kanawar Mela and Kumbh Mela which attracts large amount of tourist to take bath during certain days which you cant believe until you see it yourself.

Haridwar has many big ashrams started by famous religious leaders. Large number of Sadhus also live here permenantly. Some of the famous temples like Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi has hundreds of daily visitors at any day. Chinese traveler Xuanzang has also written about pilgrimage here in seventh cenntury. Har Ki Pauri Ghat is main attraction when it comes to taking bath in Haridwar. It is believed Lord Vishnu appeared here to bless Bhratuhari for his devotion. It is also birth place of Sati (First wife of Shiva). It is one of must visit places if you are interested in Hindu religion. It is one of the seven places which is considered Mokshdayini which means city for Moksha.

Tour Timings : Full day sightseeing tour. 09 to 10 AM is good time start normally. Ganga Aarti is must visit so tour ends after Sunset Ganga Aarti. Summer days are long here and winter days are short. Generally 8 hrs is suffient to visit some main places.

Monument / Entry fees in Rishikesh:
Mansa Devi Cable Car: 100 Per Person for Foreign Tourist (up and down total)
Chandi Devi Cable Car: 200 Per Person for Indian Tourist (up and down total)
If you take combine tickets of both temples waiting line has less waiting time (approx 295 per person).
For VIP clients INR 680 per person tickets gives priority access to cable car in both temples.
Temples has no priority access so above are just for cable car part.
Seating on wooden platform for Ganga Aarti: 100 rs per person.
At all ashrams anf temples there is no entry fees. Visiting temples offering donation is vouluntary but its very common.
