Our Guide will meet you near Ram Jhula. From here we will visit Sivananda Ashram. It is one of most famous Ashrams in Rishikesh. Started by Swami Sivananda this Ashram is one of the best examples mixture of modern yet traditional ashram. Here you can visit Shiva Temple, Sivananda Shrine etc. Later we walk towards Ram Jhula. Here you can walk over the Suspension bridge named after "Lord Ram" incarnation of vishnu. From Ram Jhula we will visit various other Ashram and Temples in Swargashram area like Swargashram and Gita Bhawan. You will also get some good views of River Ganga, Janki Setu and Ghats. At last we will visit Parmarth Niketan Ashram and its Ganga Aarti. Parmarth Niketan Ganga Aarti is popular among the tourists for live music and chanting. Around 200-1000 tourists attend this ceremony. It is organized everyday at the Sunset time. Rishikumars from Parmarth Niketan Ashram perform Ganga Aarti here which sometime also visited by Swami Chidananda (Guru from Parmarth Niketan Ashram). Tour will end at Ram Jhula car parking. Beatles Ashram can be also added in the tour (Entry fees extra INR 1200 per person for foreign tourists.
Walking tour timings : Tour starting time will be 13:30 Hours. Tour end time will depend according to sunset time in Rishikesh. Overall tour will be 4 hrs approx.
Walking during the tour : Tour requires approx 4 kms walking some stairs also. It will be not good idea for perosn having walking problem on stairs. It will required to remove shoes multiple time while visiting temples.
Places to visit during the walking tour : Sivananda Ashram, Ram Jhula, Swargashram, Gita Bhawan, Swargashram Market, Janki Setu, Parmarth Niketan Ashram & Ganga Aarti. (Beatles Ashram can be also added - currently entry fees are 1200 per person for foreign tourists.)
