Mussoorie hill-station is in the lower regions of the Garhwal Himalayan range (central himalayas). The connecting town of Landour, which incorporates a military cantonment, is viewed as a component of 'more prominent Mussoorie', similar to the townships of Barlowganj and Jharipani. Mussoorie is at the height of 1,880 meters (6,170 ft). Toward the upper east are the Himalayan snowclad mountain ranges, and toward the south, the Doon Valley and Shiwalik ranges. The second most noteworthy point is the Lal Tibba in Landour, with a height of 2,275 meters (7,464 ft). Mussoorie is famously known as The Queen of the Hills.
