Rajaji National Park Tour

Rajaji National Park is located in Uttarakhand near Haridwar and Rishikesh. It is 10 Kms far from Haridwar and 20 kms from Rishikesh. It has area more than 800 squre kms and comes under 3 districts of Uttarakhand (Haridwar, Dehradun and Pauri). Shivalik hills are natural boundry of this national park.

Rajaji National Park is northen most home of asian elephants. Recently it is declared Tiger Reserve with approx 25 + Tigers in the Park. Sambhar Deer, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Leopard, Wild Boar, Himalayan Black Bear and Sloth Bear is also found in Rajaji National Park.

Jungle Safari in Rajaji National Park is provided through open jeep. Chilla, Motichur and Ranipur is name of ranges where Jungle Safari is possible. Park is generally open for tourist from 15th Nov to 15 June every year. Approx 20 to 30 kms is Safari circuit route in diffrent zones. Tourists are not alowed to walk in the park and need to stay in the jeep during the safari. There is no restaurants in the safari route. Tourist should also note that this is natural safari and animals are not kept in cages to view so to view animals in their natural habitat is depend on luck also.

During the safari jeep drivers / guide generally stop vehicle at areas where there are more chances to see animals. Chilla is currently most popular range among the tourist.

Jungle Safari Timings: Morning and Afternoon two timings available at each range. 7 AM to 12 PM in morning and 2 PM to 6 PM in afternoon is general timings. However approx 1 hrs variation is normal due to sunset and sunrise time. It generally takes 2.5 hrs time for Jungle Safari.

Entry Fees : INT 650 per person for foreingers and INR 150 for Indian Tourists

Note : Valid identification is required while entering park. Professional movie camera are charged extra.
